In June 2014, Canterbury Imagine trustees met the rather wonderful Dolly Parton, who started the imagination library scheme which we use to deliver free books to under fives. We are celebrating being part of the Better Start Bradford scheme, which has gained Lottery funding for ten years and will mean thousands of Bradford children in some of the more deprived areas of the city will recieve free books.

Canterbury Imagine aims to improve literacy and life chances, and to encourage bonding between parent and child, by providing books and fostering a love of reading. Canterbury Nursery School and Centre for Children and Families and Midland Road Nursery School and Children's Centre help parents to register their children.
