January's books might arrive later than usual, because of delays with shipping via the ports as a result of the Brexit changes. You might have seen it on the news. Sorry. Books should arrive later this month.

Parents: check whether your baby can receive free books using our postcode checker on the FOR PARENTS page. And please tell anyone else you know with babies born in 2020. Take care of yourselves.

Parents - you can now register your under-5s for their free books online! You need to live in the catchment area of either Canterbury children's centre or Midland Road children's centre.Check your postcode and register - find out more on the Parents tab.

Some 2020 babies might not be registered for free books because of lockdown. Remember that any babies born in 2020 living in the areas around Canterbury and Midland Road children's centres in Bradford can register. Parents (or people working with families) can email canterburyimagine@btinternet.com for more details, or for a map!

Books are continuing - thanks to the brilliant postal workers who continue to deliver them. This is what a parent emailed this week: I just want to start off with expressing my sincere appreciation for the books that have been sent. I believe that because of these books, they have laid the foundation for my child to enjoy story time for years to come. My child loves 'baby boo and the giraffe' in particular and I love watching his little face light up every time the book is read.

We know these are difficult times for families, especially as our nursery schools and children's centres are having to shut. The books will continue to arrive monthly for our under-5s - they feel more important now than ever. Big love to our families.

We are thrilled to have been nominated by The Entertainer store in Bradford's Broadway shopping centre to receive a £1,000 grant from their Jack Gives Back With Pennies fund. This really makes a difference to small children's charities like ours.
